Superintendent- Dr. Gary Brogan
Gary grew up in New Plymouth, Idaho where he graduated from New Plymouth High School. He went on the attend Utah State, College of Southern Idaho and Graduated from Boise State B.S. He continued his education at the University of Utah MEd, and Idaho State University EdD The teacher who Gary would say touched his life the most was Bill Straton, " He took an interest in me. His class was hands on and I still use some of it today." Gary's parents have been the biggest influence in his life.He stated, " They are very different from each other, but instilled within me a great work ethic and love of life". Gary would like to be remembered as someone who worked hard to help students be successful. Gary and his wife Janniece have 5 children, Jared, Jacob, Luke, Garrett and Megan. The Last three graduated from Bear Lake High School. When not at work Gary enjoys working on projects, spending time with family, hiking and hunting. gbrogan@blsd.net
Business Manager- Joey Probst
Joey was born in Pocatello, Idaho. While very young, his family moved to Midway, Utah (Heber Valley) where he grew up. He milked cows and worked hard on the family’s farms during his youth.
He graduated from Wasatch High School in 1995. He later went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Finance at Grand Canyon University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Grand Canyon University.
Joey and Ayrica (she teaches at A.J. Winters Elementary) have three children – Audrey, Lisa, and Joseph. They enjoy many family activities including hanging out on the beach at Bear Lake (during the summer).
As an avid outdoor enthusiast, Joey takes advantage of every excuse to be in the mountains. He loves Bear Lake Valley. He enjoys hunting, fishing, cutting firewood, antler hunting, camping, hiking, snowmobiling, rock hounding, berry picking and anything else that gets him and his family outside.
District Secretary- Annette Crane
Annette grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and graduated from Hillcrest High school. She later attended Hairitage College of Beauty and Dixie State College. While many teachers left an impression on Annette, Gordon Russell her college math teacher gave her the confidence that she could accomplish her goals and also taught her that she does Algebra every day! Annette would like to be remember as someone who is hard working and loving. Someone who tries everyday to be their best person. Annette and her husband Shane have 6 children, Zachary, Hannah, Makenzee, Hailey, Kenedi and Kasadi. They also have two beautiful grandchildren, Maylee and Jack. When not at work Annette enjoys spending time with her family, riding 4 wheeler's, hiking in the mountains or sitting on the beach.
District Secretary- Dana Jacobsen
Dana was born in Montpelier, Idaho and raised in Paris, Idaho. She is a graduate of Bear Lake High School. Dana continued her education at ISU earning her degree as a Certified Dental Assistant. The teacher who had the greatest impact on Dana was Dallas Arnell. She enjoyed math and Dallas still takes time to visit when she sees him on the street. Dana and her husband Jon have three daughters and four granddaughters and one grandson. When not at work, Dana enjoys gardening, crafting, spending time in the mountains and spending time with family. djacobsen@blsd.net
